Using this crotch strap helps to maintain your harness from moving up on our body during a water entry from a boat or while ascending during your dive. Also by holding your rig in place this prevents your cylinders/valves from contacting your head

To assembly this loop adjustment ring you simple start your assembly of your webbing harness just insert the ring into the back of the diver's left waistband slot on the plate prior to threading the webbing. Your left shoulder webbing will become easy to slide and making it adjustable to better get a tight fit to your divingrig rig. If your harness is built already simple remove the one side to place the loop adjustment ring in place
We recommend using only one loop adjustment slider ring on your leftside of your dive harness but you can always purhase two and play with the set up to see if you find a totally adjustable set up. We have played with two and found that using the leftsided one works best for most divers

*Is in a large diameter 3mm Kernmantle Pull Cord? *Most Standard OPVs are furnished with thin cords and plastic pull knobs.
*To reduce entanglements and inadvertant wing venting many divers remove the plastic pull or toggle and add a longer pull cord. *The larger diameter cords are much easier to grasp and use, particularly with gloves.
**There are two problems with changing to a larger cord. Standard OPVs are not designed to use larger cords. The holes in the Outer Cage and inner seat retainer are too small and have to be drilled out, and the available space in the inner seat retainer is too small to accomodate the inner knot on the pull cord.
**The first problem is easily solved, just drill out the plastic parts. The second problem, too small a recess for the inner nut is not.
**Some will try to fit a large knot in a small recess by heating and melting the knot. This had resulted in failures of the pull cord.
**The DSS Solution was to redesign the inner seat retainer to accomodate a larger knot. This redesigned seat retainer also requires a new OPV CAGE or outer cover because the new seat retainer is taller.
**The DSS OPV kit includes the new Cage, SS Spring, 3mm x 5 inch Kernmantle pull cord, inner seat Retainer and Soft Seat. The soft seat is made of a thermoplastic elastomer, all other molded parts are Delrin.
*** Wings with three piece threaded through fittings will also require a DSS Hex outer or Double nut. You can order the hex nut if you need it in our drop down box!

So we built a d-ring to mount onto almost any backplate! How you ask? Well we made one of the holes fixed so your d-ring stays located in the same area and then we made a 2 1/4" long slot so no matter where you mount it and on any of the different made backplates you can secure the bottom hardware by sliding it to match up with another hole in your backplate!!
We also made this d-ring just a little larger then normal to make sure you can find it with ease on the side of your plate! Ir reaces out 1 5/8" inches measuring the inside of the D
We also supply all the needed 3/8"-16 stainless steel hardware and use a nylon insert lock nut to hold it tightly to your plate. Our kit includes:

420D woven nylon inner pouch offers a heavy duty zip closure, drainage grommet and nylon webbing pull strap. Outer pocket is constructed of ballistic grade, heavy duty, 1680D woven nylon canvas.
Three 1.5 inch wide loops of heavy duty nylon webbing on the back of the outer pocket can accommodate a belt width of up to 2.75 inches, depending on belt thickness. With continuous weave harnesses, it can often be difficult to tighten the shoulders by pulling on the waist straps. This is due to friction caused by the tortuous path that the webbing makes as it goes through the dual slots in the backplate.
This Slide Bar mounts on the back of the plate "Stainless or Alum", between the slots. The slick, rounded surface minimizes the friction and makes the waist straps easier to pull through. Plus with the raised edges it helps keep the webbing from wondering off and causing issues when you pull your harness to tighten it to your body
Place these near the bottom sides on the left and right webbing slots to make these work properly

Our 2 Inch crotch strap works with our backplates and many others on the market today!
Our 2 inch crotch strap runs from the adjustable part of the strap on the rear to mount to the slot in the backplate to the front where the loop goes on the waist belt webbing at the front of your harness
Using this crotch strap helps to maintain your harness from moving up on our body during a water entry from a boat or while ascending during your dive. Also by holding your rig in place this prevents your cylinders/valves from contacting your head
Our strap has a 2 inch stainless steel scooter d-ring for use with diver propulsion vehicles at the front of the strap right below the webbing loop.
You can also use this 2 inch scooter d-ring for applications such as a temporarily place to clip off an item such as reels, spools or camera's.
On the backside of the strap we use a stainless steel d-ring that uses a slider so you can adjust it for your final positioning
We also include a 2" inch wide rubber loop that you can slide along the crotch strap webbing
We use a 2" inch soft black webbing so it does not cut into your wetsuit material or cause any damage that stiffer webbing can cause
The 2-inch continuous webbing crotch strap is preferred by tec divers who use Scooter's or DPVs for extended dive periods. The 2 inch webbing creates a distribution of weight because of the width provides a greater secure feeling during those dives
We now have our Black Anodized assmebly screws just like our stanadard assembly bolts just with the black anodized.
We use an electroplated process to make our assembly screws
This allows our assembly screws to very durable and take the harsh conditions of our diving environments
Any accessory using grommets, you can use these screws to mount that item to your rig! Items backplate pads, liftbag pouches, buttplates and other items
We use o'rings on the inside of each end, This allows the screws to hold in place and not need a lock washer!
With continuous weave harnesses, it can often be difficult to tighten the shoulders by pulling on the waist straps. This is due to friction caused by the tortuous path that the webbing makes as it goes through the dual slots in the backplate.
This Slide Bar mounts on the back of the plate "Stainless or Alum", between the slots. The slick, rounded surface minimizes the friction and makes the waist straps easier to pull through. Plus with the raised edges it helps keep the webbing from wondering off and causing issues when you pull your harness to tighten it to your body
Place these near the bottom sides on the left and right webbing slots to make these work properly

Backplate Accessories and Harness Parts
The parts that finish a backplate and wing setup.
